Derek Turns 24

Derek's 24th birthday this year was spent in Boston, where he was visiting his old CalTech roommate Albert, a very nice guy. I talked to Derek on the cell phone, and he seemed to be having a good time.

I bought a new French book about Civilization from the CLF people, so now I'm studying the various regions of France. I'm still doing the French lessons with Lucie at Internet cafes because Skype doesn't work here at home. At first it was kind of fun to get out of the house, but now I'm a little tired of spending time at the Internet places.
