I think a big factor was last night's "dinner" of leftover cabbage soup, which was so unappealing to me that I only ate half of it. Otherwise yesterday I only ate a bowl of Special K for breakfast, a bag of Special K bits for lunch, and a few piece of kiwi fruit. And lots of water.
So the experiment has been a success. I lost my 10 pounds in 2 weeks with a Special K/Cabbage soup combo diet. Now it's a matter of trying to tone up my stomach, which still looks pretty pathetic. But my morale is high, and I don't think I will go back to my old eating habits.
Doug is having a Sunday breakfast of buttered toast, fried eggs and mashed potatoes, and I can't even watch him eat it. He needs to lost weight so much more than I do, and yet he gets pretty upset when I comment on what he's eating. At least I'm not bringing cookies, candy and pizza into the house anymore to make matters worse for him.
Today is Palm Sunday and we're going to St. Patrick's Cathedral (Anglican) in Dublin for a choral concert at 3pm. We've planned to go to Amsterdam next month, and Ineke Voogd tried to call me last night ... I haven't seen her in 40 years.
